It was a major turning point in World History as the people that had settled onto the New World had started the 13 colonies, starting with Jamestown, that had eventually lead to the whole United States to be created. Also, the Native population had been completely killed off by the diseases brought with the Columbian Exchange, so this had been significant towards their population. Also, the population boom in the Old World had been a big turning point for them, from the crops they got like maize.
