1/2(20 - y) = 2/3
[this one im not too sure, please confirm it cause i don't think it is clear enough]

1/2(y - 20) = 2/3

One half times the quantity 20 minus y equals two thirds :
1/2(20 - y) = 2/3

One half times y minus 20 equals two thirds :
1/2 x y - 20 = 2/3
