8 times 2 is 16. now multiply that by 2 again to get 32. it is positive 32 because you are multiplying two negatives. when you multiply two of the same integer types you get a positive outcome. when both integers are different
(ex: -3•(5)= -15)
this is mainly only the case for multiplication and division.
