It can be useful in a way but useless at the same time. It’s useful because it helps prevent possible dangers- exa: if it breaks apart and makes multiple small pieces that can cause “harm” to earth- but then again useless because I doubt any good astronaut would let their ship crash into a piece of rock much less fly right into it
