Need help with this what is it asking exactly? wouldnt the square root of x^2 be x

I suppose you're given
`f(x) = x^2 + 2`, which would mean
`f^(-1)(x) = √(x-2)`. Then

`f^(-1)(f(x)) = f^(-1)(x^2 + 2)`

and

`f^(-1)(x) = √(x - 2) \implies f^(-1)(x^2+2) = √((x^2+2) - 2)`.

You should have
`x^2+2` where you wrote
`x+2`. This then simplifies to
`√(x^2) = x` (as long as
`x\ge0`).
