What is the significance of the Kurds

Oh I remember this from my AP Human Geo. class last year! The Kurds are significant because they are a prime example of a Stateless Nation! They are a group of ethnic people that lived together in a region that is in multiple states. They have their own distinct culture and want to create their own state, but they are forced to live in multiple states.
