Given: √54x^6•y^11

Factor 9•6 out since 9•6=54

√9•6x^6•y^11

Factor x^6 to x^2•x^2•x^2 and y^11 to (y^2)^2 • (y^2)^2 • y^2•y

√9•6x^2•x^2•x^2 •(y^2)^2 • (y^2)^2 • y^2•y

Remember that √a•b = √a•√b, so all these exponents that are squared will cancel out because if you square a number and then take the square root, you have the same number. For example, 6^2=36 and √36=6.

3•x^3•y^5√6y
