To solve for y, you need to get that variable by itself. By doing that you need to put “3x” on the other side which is why you subtract “3x” on both sides.
Then rewrite it, so it would be “-6y=-3x+6”Remember variable goes first on the right side!!
The goal is to still get y by itself, so now you divide “-6” on both sides.
