24.7 and 24.73
Explanation:
When rounding to the nearest tenth, you are rounding to the spot after the decimal, but looking at the number after it. So, to round to the nearest tenth, you would round to the seven but look at the two. Two is less than five, so it and anything after it turns to a zero. To round to the nearest hundredth, round to the two but look at the five. Five is equal to five, so the two changes to a three and the five turns to a zero.
