This is evaluating expressions so how would I solve this its 8th grade math
when x=2,3x-1=

ANSWER: 5

X = 2

Equation: 3x-1 =

Since the equation says that “X” is 2, we will replace the X with 2 within the equation. Now you see here, since there's no symbol with the 3 and “X”, it means they are multiplying ( Or as seens as : 3(2) - 1 =

Then you will get 6 - 1

Which is obviously 5.

In this equation they are saying that X is 2 and that you should replace the letter X with 2 in the equation.
