To find:

The value of k.

Solution:

We have,


f(x)=112-kx

Putting x=-3, we get


f(-3)=112-k(-3)


121=112+3k
[\because f(-3)=121]

Subtract both sides by 112.


121-112=3k


9=3k

Divide both sides by 3.


(9)/(3)=k


3=k

Therefore, the value of k is 3.
