HELPPP!!! Due in 45 minutes

2. (12 points) in your lab, you have a special measuring tool that can measure the width of tiny
objects. You can even measure the width of a human hair. The device claims to have an accuracy up to 10 micrometers, or microns.

A. If you are measuring a hair that you know has a width of 65 microns, what possible range of measurements could the device give you?

B. You have another device in your lab used to measure larger objects. This one can measure the width of an object up to 5 feet long, and claims to have an accuracy of one-tenth of an inch.

If you measure an object that is 3.5 feet long, what possible range of measurements will the device give
you?

Answer: a: 55 microns- 75 microns

b: 3.4 feet- 3.6 feet

Explanation:

For letter a you have an accuracy up to 10 microns so add and subtract from the original number; the same applies to letter b just turn the percentage to a decimal then add and subtract. Hope that helps!
