1. Out of desperation because Germany took all the blame for WWI. They were humiliated and ashamed to have lost. Hitler promised glory again.
2. Rallies and propaganda lead by hitler set them apart and helped them to gain support.
3. The communist party seemed worse to the german people at that time and because they only appealed to industrial workers. The nazi 26 point Programme appealed to a wider audience in Germany.
