the answer is 80 because a right angle has a degree of 180 and you have a 20 degree already known and if you 2x and you put the 80 you get 160 + 20= 180 so that is the answer

Answer:

A. 35

Explanation:

You want to know the value of x, given that angle 2x° is the complement of 20°.

Complement

The diagram shows you the sum of the two angles is a right angle, 90°. This lets you solve for x:

2x° +20° = 90°

2x = 70 . . . . . . . . divide by °, subtract 20

x = 35 . . . . . . . divide by 2

The value of x is 35, choice A.
