The same ball rolls horizontally along the sand decelerates at a rate of 6m/s2. Calculate the force of friction that caused this deceleration.

Note: the ball is 0.25 kg
i’m not sure if it’s physics or not i’m just a slow 8th grader

Answer:

Given:-

  • Deceleration per unit time :- 6m/s²
  • mass of ball :- .25kg

To find:-

  • Force of Friction??

Formula used:-

  • f = ma

=> f = .25kg x 6 m/s²

=> f = 1.5N
