Answer:

-1/3

Explanation:

1. Select two points on the graph that have integer coordinates. There are four to choose from here: (-5,4), (-2,3), (1,2), (4,1). These can be ANY two points.

2. Draw a "stair step" as shown in the picture, connecting the points that you selected.

3. Count the number of spaces that the step is TALL and the number of spaces that the step is WIDE, and write them in a fraction as
(TALL)/(WIDE) (NOT
(WIDE)/(TALL)!!).

4. Reduce the fraction to lowest terms.

5. Notice if the line goes up (positive) or down (negative) as you move from left to right, and use that sign.

Answer:

The slope would be -1/3.

Explanation:

If you look at the graph, you can see that it touches two points, which are (1,2) and (4,1).

You can do rise over run, in which it rises 1 and goes across 3, resulting in 1/3, because it is decreasing, it is -1/3.

You can also use the formula
((y_(2)-y_(1)))/((x_2-x_1))

(x,y)

(1,2) is the first point.

(4,1) is the second point.

(1-2)/(4-1) resulting in -1/3.
