which linear equation has a slope of -2/3 and a y-intercept of 6?

B- 6x=2/3
C- y=6x+2/3

you need the equation to be in slope intercept form so were looking for y= -2/3x + 6. when going through the answers u should eliminate what u can. D is in slope intercept but the 2/3 is not negative so thats not it. B is not it bc it's not possible to get that equation to our correct equation. C is also incorrect because our 6 is the slope rather than the y intercept. finally if u subtract 2/3 from both sides on A it will become our equation. 2/3x+y=6 u eliminate the 2/3x from the left which isolates the Y and u subtract 2/3x from the side 6 is is on giving you y=6-2/3x which is exactly the same as y=-2/3x + 6.
