Answer:

There is 12 pennies and 3 nickle

How?

Nickles are worth 5 cents

Pennies are worth 1 cents

Since there wouldn't be many nickles adding to 15 coins in total, there would be more pennies

A total of 15 coins

At first there would be 5 nickles adding to 25 with 2 pennies a total of 27, however there isn't 15 coins. So a nickle HAS to be split to 5 pennies. After counting again, another nickle has to be split till there is 15 coins. Adding to 12 pennies. And 3 nickles.
