Political: Royal Absolutism: most people weren’t opposed to a monarchy but the wanted a constitutional one like Great Britain
Social: FAMINE!! People were starving during this time because of a bad winter that occurred in 1788: “them them eat cake”: cake was a very expensive and rich kind of bread that many could not afford
Economic: the royalist had run out of money because of king Louie’s the 14th expensive spending and so they imposed taxes on the nobility: the artristocrats were actually historically speaking the ones who sparked the revolution, bringing the assembly.

1. Economic Crisis: France faced severe economic problems during this period, including a high national debt, widespread poverty, and food shortages. The existing tax system was highly unequal, burdening the lower classes while exempting the nobility and clergy.

2. Political Unrest: The French monarchy was facing increasing opposition and criticism from the population. The absolute rule of King Louis XVI and the privileged status of the nobility and clergy led to resentment among the common people. Calls for political reform and a fairer distribution of power were growing, setting the stage for the French Revolution.
