Answer: 1 solution

1. We need to shorten this equation:

3x + 15 = -4x + 8

2. We need to make „x” to the left side, and numbers to right, without forgetting to change the sign:

3x + 15 = -4x + 8
3x + 4x = 8 - 15
7x = -7

3. Shorten it:
7x = -7 |:7
x = -1

So it has only one solution. Proof:

3(-1 + 5) = -4 * (-1) + 8
3(4) = 4 + 8
3 * 4 = 4 + 8
12 = 12

And if both sides are the same equation is correct.
