then

p^(3/2) = 27

(p^(3/2)² = 27²

p^(3×2/2) = 27²

p³ = 27² = (3³)² = (3²)³ = 9³

p = 3

you do remember that (x^a)^b = x^(a×b).

and therefore x^(a×b) = (x^b)^a.
