y = mx + c ( m is the gradient and c the y- intercept )

here m = 3 , then

y = 3x + c ← is the partial equation

to find c substitute (6, 7 ) into the partial equation

7 = 3(6) + c = 18 + c ( subtract 18 from both sides )

- 11 = c

y = 3x - 11 ← equation of line
