ratio of areas = 3² : 4² = 9 : 16

let x be the area of the larger triangle then by proportion


(ratio)/(area)


(9)/(27) =
(16)/(x) ( cross- multiply )

9x = 27 × 16 = 432 ( divide both sides by 9 )

x = 48

thus Area = 48 cm²
