Hmm, let's think through this riddle logically:

- Cows give milk

- Hens lay eggs

- The riddle asks who gives both milk and eggs

- Cows only give milk, hens only lay eggs

- So there must be someone or something else that gives both milk and eggs

Since it's a riddle, the answer is probably not a literal person who milks cows and collects eggs from hens. More likely, it's referring metaphorically to something that provides nourishment or sustenance.

My guess for the answer to the riddle is:

The farmer

The reasoning is:

- The farmer raises both cows and chickens on their farm

- The cows provide milk which the farmer collects

- The chickens provide eggs which the farmer collects

- So the farmer is the one who "gives" or provides both milk and eggs, through raising the cows and chickens.

Does this seem like a reasonable solution to the riddle? Let me know if you were looking for a different interpretation!
