A Spanish class has a total of 25 students. The number of males is7 more than the number of females. How many males and how many females are in the class?

Given,

  • No. of males is 7 more than females.
  • And total no. of students = 25

Let's take no. of females be x

Then males = x + 7

Their sum would add upto 25.

That is,

=> x + x + 7 = 25

=> 2x + 7 = 25

=> 2x = 18

=> x = 9 and x + 7 = 16

The Spanish class have 16 males students and 9 female students in total.
