Perimeter of the Triangle is 3.5 cm
we know that the perimeter of an isosceles triangle is P=2a+b,
hence, our first equation taking the left side of triangle into consideration will be-
P= 2(3x-5)+ 2x
so applying bodmas rule and opening the bracket first,
P= 6x-10+2x
=6x+2x-10
=8x-10….. 1st equation formed
after this, taking into consideration left side of the triangle,
P=2a+b
=2(19-x)+2x
=38-2x+2x
-2x and +2x cancelled with each other
P=38….. 2nd equation.
now adding the value of P from 2nd equation to 1st equation-
38= 8x-10
38-10=8x
28=8x
28 divided by 8=x
x=3.5 cm
Therefore, perimeter of triangle is 3.5cm.
