Simplify 5c-3/4

(5c-3)/4-8=0
You rewrite the whole as a fraction using 4 as the denominator:
8=8/1=8*4/4
(5c-3)-(8*4)/4= 5c-35/4
Pull out like factors:
5*(c-7)/4=0

To get rid of the denominator:
5*(c-7)/4*4=0*4
So now it’s,
5*(c-7)=0
Solve 5=0 which has no solution.
Solve c-7=0 adding 7 to both sides. C=7 :)
