Hello !

x² - 7x = 3

x² - 7x - 3 = 0

a = 1

b = -7

c = -3

x_(1) = \frac{-b+\sqrt{b^(2)-4ac } }{2a} = \frac{-(-7)+\sqrt{(-7)^(2)-4*1*(-3) } }{2*1} = (7 + √(61) )/(2)

x_(2) = \frac{-b-\sqrt{b^(2)-4ac } }{2a}= \frac{-(-7)-\sqrt{(-7)^(2)-4*1*(-3) } }{2*1} = (7 - √(61) )/(2)

x = (7 ± √61)/2
