6. In humans, red – green color blindness is caused by a recessive allele, Xc, found on the X chromosome. The normal allele results in the production of proteins that allow for normal red – green color vision. A second type of colorblindness, blue color blindness, is caused by the recessive allele, b, of a gene found on chromosome 7. The normal allele results in the production of proteins that allow for normal blue color vision. A woman who is a carrier for both types of colorblindness has a child with a man who has normal color vision, but who is a carrier for blue color blindness.

a.) What is the percentage probability that a child of this couple will have any type of colorblindness? Express your answer as a whole number.

b.) What is the percentage probability that a male child will have red – green colorblindness?
