Digestion helps the body get nutrients from food, which keeps the body alive and healthy, it also keeps our blood levels balanced. Respiration helps us breathe, so we get oxygen in our blood which is then distributed to the rest of our bodies. When we exhale we release carbon dioxide, so we can rid our body of it.
