Think about the different types of supporting materials (i.e., definitions, testimony, descriptions, statistics, etc.) that can be used in a presentation. Identify which type of supporting material you would like to create. Spend some time researching content to include as the supporting material.

Using a word processing program, list the type of supporting material you are including and then insert the supporting material. When the assignment is complete you will have three types of supporting materials listed with the example you have chosen under each type. Be sure to select three different types of supporting materials.

One of the most iconic comic book characters of all time is Spider-Man, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Spider-Man first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962 and quickly became a fan favorite due to his relatable personality and struggle with balancing his superhero duties with his personal life as Peter Parker.

In an interview with The Guardian, comic book writer Ta-Nehisi Coates discussed why he was drawn to the medium of comic books, stating, "What we are talking about are gods and monsters, and how they interact with human beings. That’s what I love about it. It’s such an incredibly fertile place to explore questions that are tough to explore in other mediums." Coates has written several successful comic book series, including Black Panther and Captain America.
