How would the US be different if the 1st Amendment didnt exist? you can put personal thoughts to :D

Answer:

Since the first amendment protects our freedom of expression, without it, we would be living in a world where the government controls us to a greater degree (no rallies/protests, the government can force one religion on everyone...etc)

protest rallies and marches could be prohibited according to official and/or public whim; membership in certain groups could also be punishable by law. Petition: Threats against the right to petition the government often take the form of SLAPP suits
