In times of war, does the government have the right to do certain things in order to "protect" the country? Explain your answer in at least three sentences.

This is pretty subjective, but I would say yes (only cuz there’s more historical evidence I can think of off the top of my head lol). One example is the atomic bombs America dropped on Japan in response to Pearl Harbor. This is a heavily debated upon topic, but in a way the attack was necessary because it proved the lengths America was willing to go in order to make a point to not go against them. Also, it solidified America as a world power past WWII and of course still to this day.
