7. IDo you think history has any relevance to events in the world today? Explain why or why not.

No because whatever history is it’s not going to work

Answer: Yes.

Explanation: People can look back in history to find when things went awry and be able to learn from mistakes or not to repeat them. But you can also date current events back to the start to find why it's happened. Take the Russian invasion of Ukraine for example. Ukraine was once part of Russia and before the Mongolian invasion Kiev was the cultural center and capital for Russia. Ukraine then again became a part of the USSR before being relinquished in 1991. Russia believes that Ukraine should be brought back to the country on accounts of it's history with Kiev. Let's say the Mongolians never invaded Russia cutting them off from the rest of Europe. It would have been much closer to the rest of Europe and we may not even be having this current period of tension.
