12 If the domain of the function f(x) = 2X²-8 is {- 2, 3, 5}, then

the range is
(1) {-16, 4, 92}
(2) {-16, 10, 42}
(3) {0, 10, 42}

The range is option (3): {0, 10, 42}

Domain is a group of x values. This means we can substitute each domain value into the function in order to find the range.

For example, since the first domain value is -2, we will substitute that.
f(-2)=2(-2)^2-8
f(-2)=2(4)-8
f(-2)=8-8
f(-2)= 0

Doing this for all of the values, we get a range of {0, 10, 42}. Hope this helps! :)
