The Transfiguration is an event reported in the New Testament in which Jesus is transfigured and becomes radiant in glory upon a mountain. The traditionally accepted site of Christ's transfiguration is Mount Tabor, a mountain in Lower Galilee region of Israel. It is believed to be the location where Jesus was transformed in front of his disciples Peter, James, and John.
