Supplementary angles are SOMETIMES congruent.

Supplementary angles is defined as a pair of angles whose sums is 180.° Supplementary angles are only congruent when they are compliments (meaning both angles are 90°) because all right angles are congruent. So, only when an angles is bisected perpendicularly can the pair be congruent.
