(x+2)(x+3)

Multiply each number with FOIL

First: x × x= x^2

Outside: x × 3 = 3x

Inside: 2 × x = 2x

Last: 2 × 3 = 6

add up all the values: x^2 + 3x + 2x + 6

Simplify: x^2 + 5x + 6

this is now a quadratic trinomial
