How do I multiply 700 x 0.32 I keep getting the answer wrong

well, when doing decimals, we can think of them without the decimal point and then we'll be adding it later.

so in this case, let's just multiply 700 times 032, which is just the same as 700 * 32, which is the same as 7 * 32 and then we add the zeros.

So 7 * 32 = 224, now let's add the zeros from the 700, and that's 22400, now let's add the decimals hmmm well, 0.32 had two decimals so it needs two, so 224.00, wait a second! that's just 224.

Answer:

Just do 700*32 and put the decimal after two places from right side

700*32=22400

decimal two side right is

224.00

700*.32=224

alternatively .32 is 1/.32=3.125 so you can do

700/3.125=224
