Probability = Number of favourable outcomes/ Total number of outcomes

Total number of outcomes = 21 + 9 = 30.

¡) Probability of a girl to be selected = 9/30 = 3/10.

¡¡) Probability of a boy to be selected = 21/30 = 7/10.
