At x = 0, the function with the greatest value is 2x + 4.

At x = 2, the function with the greatest value is 2x + 4.

At x = 4, the function with the greatest value is g(x) = x² + 2x - 1.

At x = 6, the function with the greatest value is
h(x) = 5^((x - 3)).

At x = 8, the function with the greatest value is
h(x) = 5^((x - 3)).

How to calculate the value of the functions?

The value of the functions is calculated by applying the following method.

The given function;

f(x) =2x + 4

g(x) = x² + 2x - 1

h(x) = 5^((x - 3))

The value of the functions at x = 0;

f(0) = 2(0) + 4 = 4

g(0) = 0 + 2(0) - 1 = - 1

h(0) = 5^((0 - 3)) = (1)/(125)

The value of the function at x = 2;

f(2) = 2(2) + 4 = 8

g(2) = (2)² + 2(2) - 1 = 7

h(2) = 5^((2 - 3)) = (1)/(5)

The value of the function at x = 4;

f(4) = 2(4) + 4 = 12

g(2) = (4)² + 2(4) - 1 = 23

h(4) = 5^((4 - 3)) = 5^1

The value of the function at x = 6;

f(6) = 2(6) + 4 = 16

g(6) = (6)² + 2(6) - 1 = 47

h(6) = 5^((6 - 3)) = 125

The value of the function at x = 8;

f(8) = 2(8) + 4 = 20

g(8) = (8)² + 2(8) - 1 = 79

h(8) = 5^((8 - 3)) = 3125
