The area as the product is (x - 4)(5x + 6) and area as sum of its part is 5x² - 14x - 24

The area of a rectangle is expressed as:

Area = length * width

The perimeter is expressed as the sum of all its sides.

P = 2(length + width)

Given the following sides

length = x - 4

width = 5x + 6

Area = (x - 4)(5x + 6)

Area = 5x² + 6x - 20x - 24

Area = 5x² - 14x - 24

For the perimeter

P = 2(x-4+5x+6)

P = 2(6x + 2)

P = 12x + 4

Hence the area as the product is (x - 4)(5x + 6) and area as sum of its part is 5x² - 14x - 24
