Metals are conducter of electricity how can you prove this statement? Describe​

if we connect bulb to the metal wire and connect wire's end through the battery then, the bulb will glow which shows that metal is good conductor of heat and electricity. Now if we connect bulb through a wooden scale, then bulb will not glow So,this shows it is bad conductor of heat and electricity.
