The population of the city in 2010 was 154,000. From 2010 to 2015, the population grew by 4.5%. To calculate the growth, we multiply the initial population by the percentage growth:

154,000 * 1.045 = 161,030

So, the population in 2015 was 161,030.

From 2015 to 2020, the population fell by 4.1%. To calculate the decrease, we multiply the population in 2015 by the percentage decrease:

161,030 * 0.959 = 154,232

So, the population in 2020 was 154,232.

To find the difference between the population in 2015 and 2020, we subtract the two numbers:

161,030 - 154,232 = 6,798

So, the population grew by 6,798 from 2010 to 2015. To the nearest 100 people, the population grew by 6,800.
