To simplify even further what the first answer said, to get perimeter all that is necessary is to add each side of the four sides together. Super fantastically simple.

The same applies for all straight lined shapes.

perimeter : 2 x (length + breadth)

perimeter : 2 x (4 + 6)

: 20 feet
