At the current rate that humans are advancing technologically, there will be very little nature left for us to enjoy. The amount of violence and injustice in modern society that we turn a blind eye to also makes us less sympathetic and therefore less human.

Since the Industrial Revolution, we have polluted the Earth, chopped down trees, and overall just harmed our world. The number of forests we have is also decreasing because of foresting and this will continue until we have colonized then entire world and have nothing left to remind us of nature. There is also much violence and injustice around us that we just ignore.

The use of more technology will maybe block out what is around us and make us more like robots than the humans we are now.
