Two cars travel at the same speed to different destinations. Car A reaches its destination in 32 minutes. Car B reaches its destination in 48 minutes. Car B travels 6 miles farther than Car A. How fast do the cars travel?

Firstly multiply 32 and 42 the answer is 1536 and then divide 1536÷6 the answer is 256

Answer:

m/32 = (m + 6)/48

48m = 32(m + 6)

48m = 32m + 192

16m = 192

m = 12 miles

Cars A and B travel 12 miles/32 minutes = 3/8 mile per minute = 22.5 miles per hour.
