Explain the difference between women's suffrage and universal suffrage.

Universal suffrage means voting that is not restricted by race, gender, belief or social status. Women's suffrage refers to the right of women to vote. However, both universal suffrage and women's suffrage may be restricted by citizenship, age, criminal convictions or mental capacity.
