It is always important in any healthcare/dental field to maintain the confidentially of your patients. The hippo privacy law as an agreement to both the patient and provider of doing exactly that. Unless the patient agrees/signs their information can be shared--it should not be. Everything from a date of birth, to who is seen in an office that day should be confidential--& everything in between. You never know someone situation, and must always consider their privacy first.
