Answer: To expand your cultural knowledge

Explanation: Indigenous people have lived here before any of us, therefore they know the land better than any of us. They knew how to make use of every natural resource. Industrialization was unknown to them so they were an advanced group of individuals because they could convert natural resources into medicine, housing, weaponry, etc. Learning about indigenous people can teach us not only about their culture but also about the world that used to be pre-industrialized America.
